Bitcoin Rebounds as $150K Target for 2024 Comes in View (3 minute read)
After a brief nosedive, losing over 7% and dipping to a low of $60,800, BTC remains resilient, bouncing back near $67,000. This turmoil followed its flirtation with record highs, sparking a market-wide sell-off and over $1 billion in liquidations.
The buying frenzy and a reset in funding rates for perpetuals are giving Bitcoin a much-needed lift. Analysts are scratching their heads, with some pointing fingers at profit-takers and miners offloading their stash as the culprits for the sell-off.
BlackRock's hefty $760 million in Bitcoin ETFs on Tuesday shows investors aren't scared off. And with the big Bitcoin halving event in April β slashing mining rewards in half β the buzz is real. According to Lolli CEO Alex Adelman, with ETFs gobbling up Bitcoin faster than it's mined, we could be in for more sky-high surges.
Solana Meme Coin Dogwifhat Surges 48%, Outperforming BONK, DOGE (2 minute read)
Dogwifhat (WIF) soared a whopping 48% in just 24 hours to over $2.11. This little meme coin, a pup in the grand scheme of things, has hustled its way to a $2 billion capitalization in barely three months since its debut.
WIF is the top dog in gains, leading the pack in the over $1 billion cap category, which saw an average rise of 2.8%. And let's not forget the little guys β myro (MYRO) and mog coin (MOG) β who've leaped up to 80%.
WIF's meme magic comes from a viral image of a dog donning a hat, sparking the trendy "wif hat" phrase in crypto circles.
This pup's not just cute β it's got bite. With nearly $1 billion in trades in a day, WIF is barking loud in the meme token market. It's the first to fetch over $1 β a big deal since meme tokens like dogecoin (DOGE) or shiba inu (SHIB) never crossed that psychological threshold.

Staked Ethereum Grows to $116 Billion a Week Before Dencun Upgrade (3 minute read)
The Dencun update is just around the corner and it's bringing some big changes. Right now, there's a whopping 31.387 million Ethereum, worth a cool $116 billion, staked on the Beacon Chain. Despite a brief stumble in January, the ETH staked has shot up by 9% since the year kicked off. The Ethereum market is buzzing too β it's sitting at about $3,720, enjoying a 6.5% rise today and a 14.1% jump over the week.
The Dencun upgrade isn't just about numbers. Its star feature, proto-danksharding, is set to turbocharge transaction speeds and slash costs for users. For the on chain users, that's massive. And for the ETH stakers and validators, thereβs EIP-7044. This is a game-changer. It's paving the way for users to rake in rewards on their staked ETH with less hassle and making the unstaking process smoother.

Do Kwon wins appeal to avoid extradition weeks before trial in New York (2 minute read)
Terraform Labs' founder Do Kwon has dodged an extradition bullet β at least for now. The Montenegro appeals court just overturned a previous decision to ship him off to the U.S., stirring up more intrigue in this international tug-of-war. Kwon's been cooling his heels in a Montenegro cell since March 2023, with both South Korea and the U.S. eager to get their hands on him. His legal team is crying foul, claiming there's a big mix-up over who asked for Kwon first β the U.S. or South Korea. Last month, the High Court in Montenegro was all set to send him stateside, thinking the U.S. was first in line. But Kwon's lawyer, Goran RodiΔ, is arguing, insisting it's the other way around.
OneCoin scandal sees Konstantin Ignatov released, expresses remorse for $4.4b fraud (2 minute read)
Konstantin Ignatov, the guy caught up in the notorious OneCoin cryptocurrency scam, is walking free after 34 months in the clink. This massive scheme swindled a jaw-dropping $4.4 billion from investors, and Ignatov was right in the thick of it.
Judge Edgardo Ramos has hit the gavel on a "time served" verdict as of March 5. This means the court thinks Ignatov's stint behind bars before sentencing is enough of a slap on the wrist. At the hearing, Ignatov didn't shy away from owning up to his blunders, spilling regret for the mess and misery he caused. His reflection? "I can only blame myself."
Remember the "Cryptoqueen," Ruja Ignatova? After she vanished in 2017, Ignatov stepped up in the OneCoin ranks. He copped to money laundering and fraud in 2019 and even helped nail a lawyer who laundered $400 million from the scheme.

the distance between old and new memecoins is still huge. but it won't be for long. the old ones serve as a benchmark for potential, and the new ones will try to catch up rather fast. new memecoins are still cheap, dirt cheap, i'm telling you
